Creating a World-Class Experience

Recognized nationally and internationally as one of the preeminent chiropractic institutions in the world,  Life West is renowned for its emphasis on professional and personal success and fulfillment, and an outstanding program and faculty committed to technical excellence and chiropractic philosophy.  The nurturing and challenging nature of the institution provides the perfect environment for our next generation of chiropractic leaders.  Life West has some 4,500 alumni currently practicing throughout the world!

From Humble Beginnings

A modest elementary school turned chiropractic college was the backdrop of the first 25 graduates of Pacific States Chiropractic College in 1977.  In 1981, the college joined Dr. Sid Williams, then president of Life Chiropractic College (now Life University in Marietta, Georgia) and moved toward a new exciting future as Life Chiropractic College West.  In 2000, the campus moved to the current state-of-the-art facility in Hayward, California.

The Next Chapter Begins

Life West has now celebrated thirty years as a leader in chiropractic education under the direction of recently retired Dr. Gerry Clum.  This current project enables the vision of Dr. Clum to be realized as we complete Stage Two of the Campus.

With new leadership and a renewed vision, this project will complete the campus development.

The cornerstone of our educational philosophy centers on providing traditional chiropractic education with a genuine sense of passion and humanity while focusing on the core principles of vitalistic Chiropractic.

Our Goal

To continue to provide a world class experience by developing a new multi-purpose auditorium that will feature a Sports Center which easily converts into a state-of-the-art 1200 seat auditorium.

The Auditorium

Life West’s curriculum is enriched by frequent guest speakers and seminars. Our current seating capacity limits the ability to share the live experience with the whole campus community.  In the new auditorium setting, students, alumni and others will come together as a community to participate in lectures and group discussions with speakers that frequently visit the campus.  It will enable, for the first time, graduation ceremonies to be held right here on campus.

To accommodate such programs, including student graduations, and to provide an auditorium for neighboring communities, the plan calls for a 1200 seat auditorium with portable seating, and a state-of-the-art fully integrated projection, lighting and sound system.  This central gathering point will be highly used and will function as “the town hall” for the campus.  The 22,000 foot space comes with a removable stage and the ability to be sub-divided to fit the needs for a variety of events.  It will also be used by local community groups, not only bringing them onto the campus, but as an additional source of revenue.

Life West is committed to providing an outstanding student experience matched by a solid academic and clinical experience, and the curriculum features an integrated emphasis on chiropractic philosophy, technique and science.

The Sports Center

Using the same versatile space, the portable seating can be removed and a full NCAA basketball court, half-basketball court, and volleyball court will be revealed.  This sporting facility will complete the recreation developments on campus and be available for use by students, faculty, staff and alumni.  The Pavilion design will have additional bathroom facilities to accommodate a large number
of guests.

The reason Life West is a global leader in chiropractic education has never been more apparent.  Building on our success, the Auditorium and Sports Pavilion is poised to enhance Life West as the premier school of chiropractic in the United States.

Share in the leadership, the passion and the commitment to service and our vision of the future.  At Life West, we continue to realize the dream of a world made healthier for humanity – through chiropractic. You are invited to be part of the vision!

The cost of completing our dream campus is five million dollars.

The Mission of Life Chiropractic College West is to advance chiropractic through the Doctor of Chiropractic program, postgraduate education,  philosophical inquiry, research and scholarly activity in a climate of love and service.

The realization of our mission and dreams has always been made possible by the loyal support and enduring generosity of our alumni and friends within the chiropractic community and the world at large.
