HC-310 Health Center Policies and Procedures           1unit,11 hours An orientation to the Health Center: the facilities, policies, procedures, and proper patient protocol. The student is provided the clinic manual and is instructed in the application of policy and procedure in regard to the laws of the state of California, the CCE and LCCW Standards, and proper patient protocol.

HC-321 Health Center 1                                                     1 unit, 51 hours
This is the student's first opportunity to assume the responsibility of caring for student patients. Prerequisites: HC-310. Corequisite: 1 unit Entrance Examination HC-501 (Health center entrance requirements available from the registrar's office.)

HC-650 Health Center Clinic Advising 1

This is the student's first opportunity to assume the responsibility of caring for student patients. Prerequisites: HC-310. Corequisite: 1 unit Entrance Examination HC-501 (Health center entrance requirements available from the registrar's office.)

HC-332 Health Center Faculty Advising 2                  3 units, 88 hours

The student is instructed in basic patient case management skills and in a review of the patient case record requirements. It is the student's first opportunity to assume the responsibility of caring for public outpatients and continued care for student patients. Prerequisites: HC-321

HC-413 Health Center Faculty Advising 3        4 units, 132 hours
The student is instructed in intermediate patient case management skills and will continue to care for public outpatients and student patients. Prerequisites: HC-332. Corequisite: 1 unit Mid-Proficiency Examination

HC-502

HC-424 Health Center Faculty Advising 4       4 units, 162 hours
The student is instructed in intermediate patient case management skills and will continue to care for public outpatients and student patients.
Prerequisites: HC-413

HC-435 Health Center Faculty Advising 5        3 units, 140 hours
The student is instructed in advanced patient case management skills and will continue to care for public out-patients and student patients. Prerequisite: HC-424. Corequisite: 1 unit ICE Examination

The course is designed to offer the senior student an opportunity for increased clinical experience prior to private practice, the opportunity to experience additional practice settings, and the opportunity to increase exposure to various techniques and clinical practices.

HC-890 Graduate Preceptorship  (not offered this semester)              1 unit
The course is designed to offer the person who has earned a D.C. degree an opportunity for increased clinical experience prior to private practice, the opportunity to experience additional practice settings, and the opportunity to increase exposure to various techniques and clinical practices.
