Student
Resources at Life West
Success will be yours!
Life
West has a vibrant academic and extracurricular environment. Students start
their days early,
with classes generally beginning at either 7:30 or 9:30 a.m. depending on individual
quarterly
schedules. Most classes end between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. There are scheduled
breaks between periods.
Lunch break lasts from 11:30 to 12:45, a time during
which many students attend meetings or events
of on-campus technique and social clubs.
Students report that they tend to study around two to three hours daily outside
of class, and that
they generally have time to earn money with on- or off-campus part-time jobs.
Student facilities include a student lounge, the Life
Bistro, study areas, and rooms for use by the multitude of student clubs and
organizations. At the center of the college, Sid Williams Square serves as
a popular gathering and meeting place for students and faculty alike.
Another major benefit to students is the College's Learning
Resource Center, with a wide range of journals, texts, Internet connectivity,
and an online database that expands student research opportunities to the corners
of the globe. The LRC enjoys group study rooms, an x-ray library and viewing
area, an Internet-accessible computer lab, and a host of software programs
— some designed specifically for chiropractic education.
