Financial Aid : Debt Management / Financial Planning

Financial Literacy Seminars are part of a freshman’s first quarter schedule as we feel it is essential that our students have a strong foundation in budgeting, developing financial strategies and overall management of their finances.  Later in the program courses in Fundamentals of Business and Office Procedures offer additional information tailored to chiropractic students.

In preparation for your chiropractic education, we strongly recommend paying off any consumer debts, such as car payments, credit cards, etc. and start now to develop a financial plan for the future. Managing your money now will help ease the burden in the future.  It is beneficial to know your credit history and check it yearly to insure the accuracy of the reports.

At Life West we have a Peer Counselor available to provide budgeting tools and other facts on borrowing wisely while a student.  Most students will need loans to help pay for chiropractic school. Obtaining your Doctor of Chiropractic degree will no doubt increase your earning potential; however, we do not recommend that you borrow any more than you need.

Online Loan Entrance
All students borrowing federal monies are required to complete an online loan entrance
and/or attend a group loan entrance session scheduled by the college.
