The library also houses reference and additional group study areas, audiovisual production and viewing stations, a computer laboratory, and an imaging laboratory.
Who can use the library?
Visitors pursuing research in health science are welcome to read books and journals, watch videos, and use the reference materials, including the research computers located near the reference desk. The computer and imaging labs are reserved for Life West students.
Which services are available to visitors?
On weekdays, the reference librarians will assist unaffiliated researchers by appointment or on a drop-in basis with preference given to currently enrolled students.
The library offers these additional fee-based options for service:

Which technologies are available to visitors?
The media viewing cubicles allow playback of either DVD or VHS, and are outfitted with up to four headsets for group study. The “imaging computer” in this area is also available to visitors, with preference given to Life West students.
Laptop users with wireless Internet capability are able to access subscription databases while on campus.
Although the computer lab is reserved for Life West students, visitors are welcome to use many of the CD-ROM in the software collection, under these conditions:

Photocopiers
The vending units attached to the self-service photocopiers accept the cards with magnetic strip sold at the bookstore, as well as coins and bills. In order to add value to the “copycards”, insert the card and then a small amount of money. These units do not make change. If you insert a $10.00 bill, the entire amount is transferred to the card.
