LIFE WEST HEALTH CENTER NAMES NEW OPERATIONS MANAGER
HAYWARD, Calif., October 8, 2003

The Life Chiropractic College West Health Center recently hired Nova Kay as Operations Manager. In this position, she will oversee a number of the Health Center's business operations-such as staffing, patient service, purchasing, and budget.

Bringing a wealth of management experience and education to her new position, Kay had been serving as special event manager for the American Cancer Society (ACS) Silicon Valley/Central Coast Region. While in this position, she successfully managed her staff and a small army of volunteers to raise over 2.5 million dollars for the ACS chapter. Kay has gained experience in the chiropractic field when she worked for American Specialty Health, in San Diego-one of the largest non-medical-health-care (chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy) HMO providers.

Kay's education includes a bachelor's degree in public administration from San Diego State University and a master's degree in public administration from National University, in San Diego.

Providing health care for close to 1,600 patient visits a week, the 32,968-square-foot public Health Center is housed at the Life Chiropractic College West campus, located at 25001 Industrial Boulevard, Hayward. The Life West Health Center is operated by approximately 200 senior interns, who are guided by licensed doctors of chiropractic. The facility also employs more than 30 full-time and part-time administration staffers.

Life Chiropractic College West, established in 1976, is an accredited non-profit institution of higher learning offering the doctor of chiropractic degree through a four-academic-year program of academic study and clinical internship. The college currently enrolls close to 600 men and women from across the U.S. and abroad. More than 3,200 graduates of Life West are now practicing throughout the world.
