Osteoporosis Screenings in Hayward On May 1 and May 8, 2004
Hayward, Calif., April 27, 2004
The public is invited
to receive free osteoporosis screenings at the Life Chiropractic College
West Health Center , 25001 Industrial Boulevard , Hayward on May 1 and
May 8, 2004 . The Saturday screening times are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. Appointments are suggested, but walk-ins will be welcome. The non-invasive
procedure is painless and quick and will provide important information
to participants on their bone health. For information, an appointment,
or to arrange a screening at another time, contact Melissa McMullen, D.C.,
at 510-780-4500, extension 4620.
In general, health
officials recommend bone density screenings for women over 40 and men
over 60. Older people can suffer disability and even death from osteoporosis-related
fractures, so prevention and early detection is crucial.
