LIFE WEST PRESENTS ANNUAL SPRING FOR LIFE

Hayward, Calif., June 3, 2004

On May 20, hundreds of practicing chiropractors, chiropractic assistants, and chiropractic students were on hand for Life Chiropractic College West's annual Spring for Life . The special event's theme, BE THE CHANGE , was certainly demonstrated throughout the day with cutting-edge chiropractic and health-care information, fellowship, and networking.

The morning event began with an inspiring speech given by Life West President Gerard Clum, D.C. Dr. Clum touched on a number of subjects of much interest to the practicing chiropractor, and he also talked about a number of updates at the Life West College campus.

During his speech, Dr. Clum made a few key introductions to the crowd. He introduced Life West's newest members of the college's board of regents: Darrell Gibson, D.C. a private chiropractic practitioner from Seattle, WA and Gerald Eagleston, principal of The Eagleston Team, headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Clum introduced Guy Riekeman, D.C., Life University's new president. He also introduced the wife and family of the late Gilbert Bohemier, D.C., of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Bohemier was being honored with a Life West campus boulevard (major hallway) named after him, due to a substantial contribution made in his name, by a generous anonymous donor.

Following Drs. Clum and. Riekeman's plenary sessions, participants took advantage of the outstanding breakout lectures offered throughout the rest of the morning (see list of sessions below).

This year's Spring for Life theme, Be the Change , was suggested by Life West Chiropractic Intern Chrissie Stamm. It refers to the Mohandas Gandhi quote, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
