LIFE WEST CONTINUES TO GROW AND MATURE
HAYWARD, CALIF., July 1, 2007 -- Life West continues to grow and mature as the top chiropractic college on the West Coast. In addition to our longstanding tradition of providing a strong subluxation-based education to our graduates, the college continues to embrace new opportunities that make the institution even stronger.
Here are just a few of the recent exciting developments:
- Already the first chiropractic college to have digital x-ray on its campus and the first to have weight-bearing MRI on-site, Life West now has acquired a digital motion x-ray (DMX) unit for our imaging program, another first in chiropractic education.
- Our already renowned technique curriculum has been improved. CBP, Activator, Knee Chest, Upper Cervical and Blair are now all part of the required curriculum. Second-level courses in each area allow students to take their proficiency further than ever before.
- The Life West research program has been energized and has had five studies accepted for presentation recently. Newer investigations involve the development of an instrument to measure the speed and force of the chiropractic adjustment and a joint project with UCLA’s Spine Center and TrueMRI for an MRI study of pain-free backs for a comparative database.
- To better serve those students you refer to Life West, we’ve just launched a new program with New College to provide accelerated prerequisite courses right here on the Life West campus
- Life West President Dr. Gerry Clum’s presidency of the World Federation of Chiropractic, with a membership of over 80 nations, is enhancing the international recognition of Life West as a leading institution. In turn, our campus is enriched by the awareness of the state of the profession that Dr. Clum brings home to our students and faculty.
Our goal, as always, is to provide top-notch traditional chiropractic education in a state-of-the-art educational environment.
