GERARD CLUM, D.C., ANNOUNCES NEW RESEARCH COORDINATOR APPOINTMENT AT LIFE CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE WEST

Hayward, June 9, 2006 -- Dale Johnson, Ph.D., Faculty Senate President and  professor of  Toxicology, Metabolic Disorders, Nutrition and Biochemistry at Life Chiropractic College West has taken on a new set of responsibilities, that of Research Coordinator. Gerard Clum, president of the College made the announcement to students, staff and faculty, Friday June 9, the culmination of a four month search. “I am very excited and very confident that through Dr. Johnson’s increased involvement we will see a new era of research awareness and accomplishment at Life West,” said Dr. Clum.  

Dr. Johnson brings to the position a strong research background and a long history of successes in grant writing for both private and public sectors.

He received his doctorate in Physical Chemistry and Surface Science from the California Institute of Technology and, prior to coming to Life West, directed industrial-based research for several corporations.

“The field of Chiropractic research is wide-open--broad in scope--and that’s very attractive to me. I’m extremely excited about the opportunity,” said Dr. Johnson.
