YOU CAN STOP OSTEOPOROSIS BEFORE IT STARTS

FIND OUT HOW OCTOBER 16TH AT

LIFE CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE WEST

25001 Industrial Boulevard

(Corner of Industrial and Depot)

Hayward, California

The World Health Organization has established October 16, 2006

as World Spine Day

HAYWARD, Calif., October 5, 2006

For more than 35 million Americans -- that is one in seven people -- movement is restricted by a musculo-skeletal disorder, arthritis, back pain, fracture, osteoporosis, or sports trauma. Osteoporosis alone is responsible for more that 1.5 million fractures every year. That's where Life Chiropractic College West comes in.

Because many of these and other musculoskeletal disorders are preventable with early life style changes, Life West is pleased to provide the Hayward community with the following free evaluation opportunities and educational programs:

October 9-19, noon to 7:30 p.m., evaluations

Appointments are available for DEXA bone density testing, Computerized postural analysis, Scoliosis screening and Balance evaluations. Those tested will be provided with detailed information to discuss with their health professionals.

Call 510. 780-4500 as soon as possible. Space is limited.

October 16, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., workshops

The college offers an educational and entertaining evening of screenings, demonstrations and short workshops on the do’s and don’ts of maintaining healthy bones, spinal integrity and structural well-being throughout life.

October 21, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., lectures

A series of in-depth lecture about bone and joint disorders, featuring their causes and their prevention, will be presented by Life West faculty.

The Life Chiropractic College West World Spine Day Events are presented in cooperation with the World Health Organization Bone and Joint Decade, World Spine Day, U.S. Bone and Joint Decade, World Federation of Chiropractic, California Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractors Association of California.

Life West, established in 1976, is an accredited non-profit institution of higher learning offering the doctor of chiropractic degree trough a four-academic-year program.
