Mission Statement

The mission of the Student Services Department is to assist students with every aspect of student life from admission to graduation. Listed below you will find the wide range of services provided by our department:

• Works with the Student Senate to assure an active student voice at Life Chiropractic College West.
  
• In cooperation with Student Senate, arranges seminars, recreational and social activities.
  
• In cooperation with Student Senate, arranges various athletic events.
  
• Issues student ID cards & badges.
  
• Issues parking permits.
  
• Approves all flyers for posting throughout the campus.
  
• Obtains and provides information about available student health insurance.
  
• Coordinates the nominating process for selecting students for Who’s Who Among Students In American Universities and Colleges.
  
• Publishes a Quarterly Planner.
  
• Coordinates new student orientation program.
  
• Processes all room reservation and table requests.
  
• Advises and maintains information on student clubs.
  
• Publishes National Board Review schedule.
  
• Coordinates and makes all arrangements for graduations - June and December each year.
  
• Organizes Senior Composite photo session.
  
• Maintains Incident reports and arranges judicial action, if needed.
  
• Works closely with Editor of Lifelines and its staff.
  
• Maintains and distributes the Student Handbook.
  
• Publishes information on our Web Site about practices for sale, exam doctors needed, associate employment opportunities.
  
• Publishes a listing of miscellaneous job opportunities off campus. Note this listing is not on the LCCW web page, a hard copy can be picked-up in the Student Services Office.
  
• Coordinates the Work-Study program on campus.
  
• In cooperation with Life West faculty, coordinate all special testing (overlaps, make-ups, challenge and accommodated) activities.
  
• Locates students in case of emergency.
  
• Coordinates the Student Lounge facilities and equipment.
